Dental Office Construction in Naples, FL

Naples dental practices often sit in professional plazas and mixed-use centers where a landlord or owners’ association reviews work alongside the building permit. That makes early planning around utilities, approvals and equipment as important as the finish work.

Since 2007 we have completed more than 200 dental, medical and commercial projects, working from our office in Doral and serving South & Central Florida.

Permits in Collier County

Depending on the address, plans are reviewed by the City of Naples building department or, for unincorporated areas, by Collier County. We confirm the jurisdiction before submittal and schedule and coordinate inspections with that office. Review times and approval decisions remain with the building department.

Flood requirements may apply

Properties within designated flood hazard areas may be subject to additional construction requirements. Depending on the scope and cost of improvements relative to the building’s market value, substantial-improvement provisions may apply. The applicable building department or floodplain administrator determines the requirements for the property. We identify these considerations during preliminary project planning.

Associations and landlords

We identify applicable landlord and association requirements early in the project and coordinate the required submissions with the construction permitting process. Approval timelines and decisions remain subject to the respective reviewing parties.

What we build in Naples

Working from approved drawings, we build operatories, sterilization and lab areas, chair plumbing, vacuum and compressed air, and the power, data and HVAC clinical rooms need. Imaging rooms are prepared for shielding specified by a qualified expert, and medical gas is installed by appropriately qualified, licensed contractors per project requirements. In older single-story professional buildings we field-verify slab, plumbing and electrical conditions before pricing.

Desscon Builders, Inc. provides construction services as a Florida Certified General Contractor (CGC 1513684). Engineering and permit-drawing services may be provided by Desscon Engineering Corporation, a separate company, within its authorized professional scope and under a separate agreement.

Existing dental office or converted commercial suite?

A former dental suite in a Naples plaza can be a strong starting point if its drains, vacuum and air lines and operatory spacing fit your plan; we still verify them, plus electrical capacity and accessibility. A general office suite gives more layout freedom but typically needs new under-slab plumbing, a mechanical room and added circuits, and on a flood-zone site the size of the work can matter.
